Introduction

FirePlanIO respects your privacy. All financial calculators on this site run 100% client-side in your browser; we do NOT store, save, or transmit your financial inputs to any external server. Values such as your balances, contributions, income, mortgage details, and subscription lists never leave your device. This policy explains what limited information is collected when you visit the site, how advertising partners use cookies, and the rights you have under the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California's Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA.

Information We Collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not request personally identifiable information to use any calculator. Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider and analytics tooling automatically process a limited set of non-personally identifiable information, including:

  • IP address (used for security, abuse prevention, and approximate country-level location);
  • Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size, used to keep layouts working correctly;
  • Referring URL, pages viewed, and time on page, collected as aggregate analytics data through standard cookies and similar technologies;
  • Local preferences stored in your browser's localStorage, such as your cookie consent choice. This data stays on your device and is never uploaded to us.

If you email us voluntarily, we receive the contents of your message and your email address, and we use them only to reply to you.

  • Right to Non-Discrimination — we will never degrade the service you receive for exercising these rights.

Data Retention and Security

Because calculators are client-side, there is no financial database to breach. Server logs and aggregate analytics are retained only as long as needed for security and reporting purposes. The site is served over HTTPS.

Children's Privacy

FirePlanIO is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or in our advertising partners' practices. The "Last Updated" date above always reflects the current version.
